Zwei Niederlagen und die Saison ist noch jung. Jetzt ist ersmal Länderspielpause. Mal sehen, was danach geht. Oder wer… Nach die Eintracht sich nicht wirklich im Sommer verstärkt hat, bzw. nicht auf die große Schalke-Style Einkaufstour gegangen ist, kommt das das meiner Meinung nach spätestens zu Weihnachten. Da legt dann der Weihnachtsmann ein paar begnadete Spieler unter den Baum. Und wenn die dann wieder gesund sind, gehen sie ohne jemals eine Minute für die SGE gespielt zu haben zu einem anderen Verein….

Juni 14th, 2010I don’t think I can remember ever having watched a footie match as boring as the first half of Japan versus Cameroon at this year’s World Cup. Man, was that boring. And to make it really a pain in the ass the monotonous noise of those African horns called Vuvuzelas was the most interesting thing happening.
Apart from that Netherlands against Denmark was quite a treat. Lots of good scenes, lots of action and in the end the orange team won. Okay, that was a bit of a pisser but you can’t have ‘em all, can you?
Let’s see what happens tomorrow. Nea Zeland against Slovakia, Ivory Coast cs. Portugal and finally Brazil will give North Korea a thrashing. Presumeably…
World Cup part 1
Juni 13th, 2010Now that’s what I’d call a really bad start into the World Cup. My team scores an early lead, leans back and gets one in return from the Americans. And in the end we can actually be quite happy about not having gone down towards the end of the second halftime.
And the next day the team of the country that I live in offer a most magnificent display of football power, crushing Australia 4 goals to nil. Despite also being handicapped like England they just did it. No Ballack, no Rolfes, Enke dead and so on. They just did it. And my idiots? No Beckham, no Owen, Ferdinand out in the first training session… And on top of that we’ve found a new butterfinger as replacement for David Seaman… For heaven’s sake, does it never end?

Einer der besten bleibt daheim

Joachim Löw, Bundestrainer und offenbar jemand ohne Feingefühl oder Sachverstand, ruft den Top-Torjäger der Schalker an, und teilt ihm mit, dass er ihn nicht mit zur Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft nach Südafrika nehmen will. Wieso denn auch? Deutsche Nationaltrainer haben schon auf Stürmer gebaut, die nicht getroffen haben, Ladehemmung hatten oder einfach nur die Seuche am Schuh.
Klinsmann war auch in Frankreich dabei, obwohl er stundenlang ohne Torerfolg war. Klose durfte auch mit. Und so weiter und so fort.
Michael Thurk, Ex-Eintrachtler und wahrscheinlich bald Torschützenkönig der zweiten Liga, sollte mit. Aber Löw nimmt natürlich keine Zweitligisten mit. Genau so wenig wie Schalker. Was für ne Verschwendung.
